Each sample color kit contains four Wood-Tux/Woodrich Brand Hardwood Wiping Stain 2 oz sample vials.  Each sample vial will cover 4 - 5 square feet of wood.  This is to allow contractors to create sample boards using several species of wood, most popular to their market.

 

When testing for color on an existing project, it is recommended that you test the colors on a board cut from the same lumber used to build the project.  If there is no off cut available, or it is a more seasoned project, test for color in an inconspicuous area.  Because we use the finest microground transparent oxide pigments our finishes have an extremely high degree of clarity.

 

The color of the wood and the pattern of the grain will determine the finish color of your project.  It's like looking at your wood through tinted sunglasses.
