Stain Color Chart

The following color chart was created to give you a general idea of the color tones we offer.  It is important to keep in mind, when working with semitransparent finishes, that the color of the wood will impact the final color of the finish.  For example, if your wood deck, or siding is darker than the plain board in this sample, you can expect your finish to be darker as well.

It helps to think of it like looking at your wood deck or siding with a pair of sunglasses on.  The boards will not all look the same, but rather each will take on the color tone of the lenses in your sunglasses.

To see an example of this, you can visit http://www.extremesolutionsinc.com/woodrich/gallery and select Understanding Semi Transparent Finishes.

Please keep in mind, every monitor displays color differently.  Visit our photo gallery to see more actual project samples.

Woodrich Brand's Newest Color

Our newest color is Amaretto (Shown here on Ipe)
Amaretto was created for Exotic Hardwoods such as Ipe.  It gives the wood that natural damp look without the hint of orange in lighter shades.  Ipe wood can range from light blond to a much darker brown.  Amaretto brings the look together with a deep rich natural color.

Our most popular color is Brown Sugar.  Brown Sugar looks very natural on most species of wood.  Brown Sugar is an excellent choice for Cedar Siding and Pressure Treated Pine.

Warm Honey Gold is our lightest color.  It will bring out the natural reds and yellows in your wood.  Gives most species of wood that natural "wet" look without the high gloss shine.  Warm Honey Gold tends to look rather orange on very light wood such as Yellow Pine.

Western Cedar was created for those who prefer a slightly red tint.  Western Cedar looks really rich on Western Red Cedar wood.  Western Cedar is also a popular choice for matching various species of wood on the same project or "tweaking" our other colors for a "custom look."
